Friday night we had an 80's dance at the institute and it was a BLAST!!! Seriously, the funnest dance I've been to for..... probably my whole college career. Dressing up was sooo fun. I'm pretty much fully converted to the fashion trends of the 80's now. It's no wonder they liked to dress like that! And my hair was totally made for the 80's. I've got the whole curly poof idea down to an art form now :) ha ha. These pictures are actually after taming it down a bit. It's pretty much amazing! And the music!!! loved it. My roommates and I even watched 80's music videos to learn some sweet moves which we gracefully utlitized on the dance floor. Have you ever seen the music video for "Love is a Battlefield"? Yeah...it was a great time. Afterwards Jessica, Winston and I made a late night Denny's run which was delicious!

And these pictures are of the awesome fort that Casey and I built in my room. It was so fun. :) We used to do that all the time when we were little kids so it was a great little blast from the past. Unfortunately I only got to leave it up to sleep in for two days because my roommates wanted the table benches back in our kitchen and our house was freezing cold so I needed my blankets. It was great while it lasted though!

Moral of the story... if you're ever having a bad day, all you need to do is dress up 80's style and build a fort out of quilts :)

that makes me so happy that you built a fort! it totally takes me back to those summer days when we'd stay at each other's houses for a week and build these massive forts that had different rooms and tunnels and stuff.
Also, the 80s were AMAZING. I love your outfit, you are a babe! You were born in the wrong decade with that fantastic hair. ;) You look gorgeous and i bet that was so fun! I hope you are enjoying being single because while married life is fun, you just don't go to things like 80s dances anymore. So i'm glad to see you're soaking it up, that looks like so much fun! I will live vicariously through you. ;) Maybe Klane with dress up like that with me for Halloween.....
I agree with Angie. You are a babe, and it should be illegal for somemone to look that gorgeous in '80's garb. I bet it makes you want to switch your style all of a sudden. Heck, it makes me want to do that too :)
Also, I agree with Angie about soaking in the silly random dating stuff before getting married (that makes marriage sound like a death sentence--sorry. It's not at all).
Thanks for posting about the dance and the fort. It has brightened my day. Good luck with school, chica. Stay as sane as posssible.
O.K. that does look fun, and I think I just might try it tomorrow..... if I get bored!! Remember that I grew up in the 80's so I had 80's dance parties on a regular basis! It was so much fun and the styles and music were rockin. Right On!! Groovy man!!
